CT Census Database
An estimated 68 million CT procedures were performed in 2007
The 2007/08 CT Census study, IMV's eighth such census, is complete. Interviewing began in January 2006 with data collection completied in first quarter 2009. Seven thousand seven hundred ninety four hospital and non-hospital sites performing CT procedures were identified and 5,533 were interviewed.
The Census details the types of procedures being performed, procedure volumes, staffing and productivity, installed equipment, availability of multi-slice CT, number of slices on installed CT scanners, planned equipment purchases and annual budgets for contrast media.
