An Estimated 27.5 Million MRI Procedures Were Performed in 2007
The 2007/08 MRI Census study, IMV's eighth such census, is complete. Interviewing began in January 2006 and data collection was completed in 1st quarter 2009. To date, 7,278 hospital and non-hospital sites that perform MRI procedures have been identified.
The 2007/08 MRI Census Database surveyed approximately 5,119 hospital and non-hospital locations where MRI procedures are performed. The Census provides site specific details regarding the types of procedures being performed, procedure volumes, staffing and productivity, installed equipment, equipment field strength, planned equipment purchases and annual budgets for contrast media.
